Here is an original recording of "Bow the Knee" featuring Nicola singing. Thanks also to Andy Prescott and Melanie Whitlock.
Here are some poems written by Nicola around 1991-1992, with illustrations by Katie.
Hello, my name’s Simon the spider.
I’m not a very good motorbike rider.
But I climb drainpipes with great ease,
Aided by my hairy knees.
Along the ground I crawl
Looking absolutely cool
In my trendy dark shades and a tie.
Hello, my name’s Wilfred the worm.
How I like to wriggle and squirm.
Eating leaves and making manure,
I’m very very useful, that’s for sure!
Under the ground
I can hear every sound
Even cows doing pats on the grass
As green as grass they always say
Well how green IS a blade of grass?
In England it’s a sort of grassy green
But in Spain it might be yellow.
Hello, me again, the computer’s died.
“My genetics homework has gone!” I cried.
My old P1s, their F1s and F2s
Have been flushed down the software loo.
So long Drosophila; good bye.
I do hope however you’ll learn to fly.
This is a very silly rhyme,
In fact it is appalling.
The words don’t rhyme or make much sense,
And that is why we’re snoring.
Nicola taught some craft workshops for renew169 wellbeing café via Zoom during lockdown.
She made video tutorials and a blog to go along with them.

Here is Nicola's entry to Towcester's Got Talent 2021, a recording of her singing "Amazing Grace". Her section starts at 5:13.
At the end of my degree at Derby University, I made a portfolio of music tracks. I enlisted Mum to help out on two of the tracks, where she played flute, violin and piccolo. I'm glad to be able to listen to her playing some joyful and cheesy music!

Here is a video featuring a recording of Pachelbel's Canon played on ukelele by Mum and Katie, with some photos taken by Mum. This is a video we made for Dad's 50th birthday that we presented to him without any context!

This is a video made for Mum for Mother's Day (2020 I believe). Katie compiled some videos where Mum spoke while Katie was filming wildlife. I also added some cheesy music to it. Enjoy!
